Open Space screened at its Lucknow office Sir Richard Attenborough's eponymous biographical epic Gandhi (1982) on Saturday, 30th January, 2010, the martyrdom day of Mahatma Gandhi, as a tribute to the apostle of peace, at a time when the world faces terrorism, war and violence like it never did before. The screening was also aimed to remind the people of what he said and to promote non-violence:
"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall - think of it, always."
